When connecting to MCC’s wireless network, you will see two options: MCC_AD and MCC_Guest.
To enhance network security:
- MCC_AD should be used for all MCC-owned devices. Log in using your MCC credentials (username and password). This network provides access to internal services, where applicable.
- MCC_Guest is intended for personal or non-MCC devices, including employee-owned laptops, phones, and visitor devices. Note: This is a temporary connection, requiring reauthentication every 24 hours or when the device switches networks.
Special Network Availability
The MCS_Devices network is available only in the following locations:
- Blair (Building 100)
- Capel Hall (Building 200)
- Pottery (Building 300)
- Building 500
- Forestry (Building 600)
In these areas, students may use either MCC_AD or MCC_Guest to connect.
Important Notes:
- If you’re using an MCC-owned device, always connect to MCC_AD to ensure access to necessary internal services.
- Make sure the “Connect Automatically” option is not selected for other networks to avoid unintended connections.
- To access wireless in the CTE Building, obtain login credentials from the CTE Main Office while on-site.
Connectivity Considerations
- Wi-Fi coverage may not extend to all outdoor areas. Expansion plans are underway and will proceed as the budget allows.
- Older devices (Windows 7 or earlier) may experience connectivity issues when moving between buildings and may require manual reconnection.
